\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n In a statement to the Saudi Tadawul Stock Exchange, Almarai said that the net profit attributable to the company’s shareholders for the three months until the end of March jumped to 385.9 million Saudi riyals ($ 102.9 million), up from 383 million riyals in the same period in 2020. The company said structural cost pressures driven by subsidy cuts and higher feed costs were managed through strong cost controls.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “Almarai expects that the current trading conditions will continue in the short term [and that they] … will continue to navigate the current market conditions with different scenario planning options.”<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Almarai’s selling and distribution expenses for the first quarter decreased by 7.5 million riyals, or 1.2 percent, year on year, as a result of improved cost management.
