Ukraine Gate &#8211; April 17, 2021 \u2013 Society<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This was announced by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Vitaliy.Klychko\/\">Facebook<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The head of the Podilskyi district of Kyiv, Viktor Smirnov, died of coronavirus. Doctors fought for his life for more than three weeks. But, due to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukrgate.com\/eng\/transportation\/kyivs-morning-the-streets-are-red-due-to-traffic-jams\/\">complications<\/a> from the disease, medicine, unfortunately, did not win,&#8221; Klitschko wrote.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He also said that Viktor Smirnov had worked in the Podolsk District State Administration for 7 years, and had headed it for the past three years.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The situation with the coronavirus in Kyiv<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In Kyiv on April 15, 1,609 new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukrgate.com\/eng\/health\/there-are-1-936-million-cases-of-covid-19-in-ukraine\/\">cases<\/a> of COVID-19 were recorded, and 49 people died of complications of coronavirus disease in a day.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Most cases of the disease were detected last day in Darnytskyi district &#8211; 320, in Dniprovskyi &#8211; 294, and Desnianskyi &#8211; 190 cases.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>1,156 people recovered in Kyiv on April 15.
