The disease has already killed 40000 Ukrainians and 214 deaths per day, in Ukraine, there have already been 1.953 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19, an increase over the day, April 18, – 6.5 thousand, the traditional decrease in the number of cases on weekends. This was reported by the message of the Minister of Health<\/a> of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov on Facebook.<\/p>\n

Over the past 24hrs, the coronavirus in Ukraine was detected in 6,506 people, including 253 children and 98 health workers. Also, 5598 patients recovered, 214 deaths were recorded.<\/p>\n

\n

This is the lowest mortality rate since March 29 (than recorded 178 deaths).<\/p>\n

\n

For the past 24hrs, on March 18, 2,387 people were hospitalized. This is almost twice less than the day before when 4,274 patients were admitted to hospitals<\/a>. In general, less than 40000 people a day have not been hospitalized in Ukraine for a long time.<\/p>\n

\n

Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Dnipropetrovsk (761), Kharkiv (622), Lviv (490), Mykolaiv (461) oblasts, and Kyiv (447).<\/p>\n

\n

The daily incidence rate has traditionally dropped sharply after the weekend. The day before, more than 10,000 people were found to be infected with COVID-19.<\/p>\n

\n

In total, 1,953,016 people became ill during the pandemic in Ukraine, of whom 1,487,677 recovered and 40000 died.<\/p>\n

Kharkiv region – 622 cases \/ 345 vaccinations;<\/p>\n

Kherson region – 103 cases \/ 0 vaccinations;<\/p>\n

Khmelnytsky region – 100 cases \/ 0 vaccinations;<\/p>\n

Cherkasy region – 273 cases \/ 26 vaccinations;<\/p>\n

Chernivtsi region – 139 cases \/ 30 vaccinations;<\/p>\n

Chernihiv region – 195 cases \/ 0 vaccinations.<\/p>\n

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk oblasts, and the city of Sevastopol are missing.<\/p>\n

According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 16th in distribution and 18th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.<\/p>\n
