Oleksiy Honcharenko, a member of the Ukrainian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, was deprived of his speech for three months due to a denunciation by the head of the Russian delegation, Petro Tolstoy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The head of the Russian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Petro Tolstoy, wrote a denunciation to the PACE chairman against a member of the Ukrainian delegation, MP Oleksiy Honcharenko, who “spoke the truth about Putin’s palace, the war in Ukraine and their place in history.”<\/p>\n

“In this denunciation, Tolstoy gave my speech in English, but in a fairly free translation. The text of the document also says that I insulted the Russian delegation twice and made two “unacceptable statements,” the people’s deputy said at the time.<\/p>\n

Scandal at the spring session<\/p>\n

During a speech by a member of the permanent<\/a> Ukrainian parliamentary delegation, PACE President Hendrik Deams<\/a> stopped the speech of the People’s Deputy and threatened sanctions when he showed a Ukrainian flag with bullet marks.<\/p>\n
