Ukraine Gate &#8211; May 1, 2021 &#8211; Forums and Conferences<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The conference was held via the Internet in Serbia &#8211; from April 22-28. It was attended by 142 researchers at the school from 23 countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ukrainian delegation participating in the competition included 11 students from the Academy of Sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Compete for awards in the departments of engineering, physics, mathematics, and life sciences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ukrainians won 1 gold, 3 silver, 4 bronze, 4 medals in the &#8220;poster display&#8221; category, and one special prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Small Academy of Sciences explained that in order to be able to represent Ukraine at the conference, students must pass a preliminary selection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Details about school projects<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Water analysis &#8211; gold<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ilarion Koleshov, an 11th <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukrgate.com\/eng\/?p=12824\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"12824\">grader <\/a>from Zaporizhia, won the gold medal in the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Presented the evolution of rapid analysis of dispersed systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While a young scientist invented a device that helps determine the extent of water pollution and makes it possible to analyze water for dust, dirt, and plastic parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The salvation of forest insects &#8211; silver<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">10th grader Volodymyr Pavlenko from Kyiv discovered how to save forest ants, Formica rufibarbis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He won a silver award for this project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Solar energy innovation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">How to use solar energy for good<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Blafenko independently designed a private in-house incubator from test tubes connected by microfibre. He studied the origin of endogenous oscillations in the hydrodynamic system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He noted that the results of the research on the Dnieper River could be used in the design of nuclear power plants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Winners of bronze medals among the Ukrainians<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Representatives of the Ukrainian delegation also won bronze prizes for projects in mathematics and physics.
