The last of a series of works by the artist depicting skulls (a key motif in Basque’s work) was created by him in 1983. Belonging to the same series, the painting Untitled, written in 1982, sold in 2017 for $ 110.5 million, setting a record value for works by American artists sold at auction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
