However, after consultations with the organizer of the competition &#8211; EMC &#8211; the team decided to refuse to participate in public performances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, the song &#8220;10 years&#8221; remains in the competition. National juries and TV viewers will evaluate a recording of the Icelanders&#8217; performance at a rehearsal in Rotterdam. The EMU has set such rules this year in case a Eurovision contestant is quarantined due to a coronavirus or is unable to fly to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rotterdam\">Rotterdam<\/a>. Thus, in the first semifinal, a recording of the performance of the Australian Montaigne, made in her homeland in compliance with strict regulations, was shown. Due to coronavirus restrictions, Montaigne was unable to fly to the Netherlands. The song performed by her in the final of &#8220;Eurovision-2021&#8221; did not pass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Da\u00f0i og Gagnamagni\u00f0 is one of the favorites of both the competition, which was canceled last year due to a pandemic and the current Eurovision Song Contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first semifinal of Eurovision-2021<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the results of the first semifinal, participants from 10 countries made it to the final: Norway, Israel, Russia, Azerbaijan, Malta, Lithuania, Cyprus, Sweden, Belgium, and Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the semifinals, bookmakers increased their chances of winning the Ukrainian band Go-A &#8211; they rose from 8th to 4th place among the favorites.
