In Ukraine, 2.183 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase <\/a>per day, on May 23, – 1.3 thousand, the traditional decrease in the number of new patients on weekends. Recovered in a day several times more than sick. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the past 24hrs, 1,334 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected <\/a>in Ukraine. Among the new patients are 86 children and 21 nurses. Also, 6,999 patients recovered, 68 died of complications, and 1,019 people were hospitalized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The daily incidence rate has traditionally decreased after the weekend. It is the lowest since August 17, 2020, when 1967 infected COVID-19s were recorded. After that, the incidence increased and in early April reached a record high – more than 20 thousand patients per day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most new cases of COVID-19 cases were found in Dnipropetrovsk (190), Mykolaiv (151), Kyiv (125), Kharkiv (101), and Kyiv (75) oblasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A total of 2,183,855 people fell ill during the pandemic in Ukraine, of whom 1,957,560 recovered and 49,436 died.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Worldometers website, Ukraine ranks 28th in the world in terms of the number of new infections and 5th in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Coronavirus test:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The level of testing <\/a>during Sunday, March 23, is very low. During the day, the laboratory performed only 16,097 tests for coronavirus: by PCR – 8,684, by ELISA – 1,462. Also performed 5,951 rapid tests for the antigen to the virus. This is the minimum number of coronavirus tests performed since the beginning of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In all, 10 million PCR tests have been performed in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
