Ukraine Gate &#8211; June 06, 2021 \u2013 Diplomatic Affairs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita met separately with Khaled Al-Mashri, head of the Supreme Council of State based in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, and the eastern power broker, Aguila Saleh, Speaker of the Libyan Parliament, as part of Morocco&#8217;s efforts to resolve the Libyan crisis,&#8221; the statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Previous discussions hosted by Morocco focused on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukrgate.com\/eng\/?p=14451\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"14451\">positions <\/a>including the governor of the Central Bank of Libya, the heads of the electoral commission, the Anti-Corruption Commission, and the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The talks in Rabat are the latest in several inter-Libyan dialogues held in the North African kingdom since September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Libya is seeking to extricate itself from the decade of chaos and conflict that followed the overthrow of dictator Muammar Gaddafi in the 2011 NATO-backed uprising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The official truce signed last October launched an UN-led process that led to the formation of an interim government tasked with uniting the country&#8217;s divided institutions, launching reconstruction efforts, and preparing for the December elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Germany will host a new set of peace talks later this month in Berlin, with the Libyan transitional government scheduled to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Read also: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukrgate.com\/eng\/?p=14726\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"14726\">Morocco Continues Its Escalation Against Spain<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Source: Ukrgate<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Moroccan Foreign Ministry said that the foreign minister met on Friday with two senior Libyan officials as part of ongoing efforts to find a political solution to the crisis in the war-torn country.
