Ukraine. Ukraine Gate &#8211; June 16, 2021 \u2013 Economy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In most cases, the cost of customs clearance will not exceed one thousand euros. The new rules come into force one month after the law enters into force.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Preferential rate<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now used cars with European registration older than five years, which were imported into Ukraine by the end of 2020, are taxed at a reduced rate of value-added tax and excise tax.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The amount of excise duty<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The amount of excise duty will depend on the age of the car, the volume, and the type of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukrgate.com\/eng\/?p=4010\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"4010\">engine <\/a>and will not depend on the cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Such cars are temporarily exempt from import duties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Under the preferential mechanism, one car of one category of one owner can be cleared through customs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>How much time for registration<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Preferential registration of the car will be possible within 180 days from the date of entry into force of the law.
