As part of the celebration of the twentieth anniversary of Pope John Paul II’s visit to Ukraine, a mobile museum of the Pope was opened in Lviv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kyiv. Ukraine. Ukraine Gate – June 26, 2021 – Ukraine Society and Culture<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n According to press reports, the mobile museum \u201cHouse of St. John Paul II \u201cis a 13-meter long truck displaying the personal belongings of the Pope that he used during his lifetime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The exhibition will travel to different parts of Lviv<\/a>, where the Pope visited in 2001.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There are many exhibits related to the Pope during such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n The vestment that John Paul II wore every day<\/p>\n\n\n\n The liturgical vestments he wore to celebrate the Eucharist<\/p>\n\n\n\n The stick<\/a> he relied on upon the last years of his life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The chalice and discus in which he celebrated the Eucharist<\/p>\n\n\n\n The episcopal ring is a symbol of association with the Church<\/p>\n\n\n\n A pen that wrote speeches and messages and a paper holder<\/p>\n\n\n\n The original incomplete message reads: \u201cDear Madam\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n The exhibits were presented by the personal secretary <\/a>of John Paul II, Archpriest Mysheslav Mokshitsky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Admission to the museum is free, and visitors can even take portions of John Paul II’s texts. In addition, those interested have the opportunity to leave entries in the visitors’ book, which will be published later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n
