Russia claims that it sent a missile boat of the Black Sea Fleet “Ivanov Ets” allegedly “to help” the Ukrainian fishing vessel “OF-2592” in the Black <\/a>Sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was reported by Russia’s Interfax with reference to the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The crew of the Ukrainian ship was heading to the port of Ochakiv and asked for help at 01:27, the Russians received a distress signal. The ship’s captain stated that the engine <\/a>had failed, causing the ship to be de-energized and drifting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The emergency situation with the civilian ship was reported to the National Defense Management Center of the Russian Federation, which informed the Ukrainian authorities about receiving a distress signal from the ship OD-2592,” the Russian Federation said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next to the rocket boat “Ivanovets” in the area, there is also a border ship of occupiers “Flawless”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The life of the crew of a Ukrainian fishing vessel, which suffered a disaster in the Black Sea, is not in danger, a tugboat was sent to it from Odesa, the press service of Rosmorrichflot told TASS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UPDATED. The Regional Maritime Guard Department <\/a>of the State Border Guard Service confirmed in a comment to Ukrainian Pravda that the Ukrainian ship had an accident in the Black Sea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Balaklava naval boat has already towed a willow that was damaged in the open sea, was de-energized and is currently towing it to the port of exit to Ochakov,” Natalia Humeniuk, a spokeswoman for the department, told reporters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Humeniuk explained that the ship was de-energized, so it could not inform the Ukrainian authorities about the situation and gave a signal for rescue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In such situations<\/a>, there is really only the possibility of sending a rescue signal. Therefore, they invited the nearest ships to inform the Ukrainian authorities about the help they need,” she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
