NATO is interested in Ukraine’s defense capability being able to withstand Russian aggression. This was stated by a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security and Defense, MP from the faction “Servant of the People” Irina Vereshchuk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“NATO will not fight for us. But NATO <\/a>is interested in our defense capability being able to defend itself against Russian aggression on its own, \u201dthe people’s deputy said on one of the TV channels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In particular, NATO is helping to create another Center for Countering Hybrid Threats in Ukraine, Vereshchuk said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I am the chairman of the parliamentary working group that deals with this issue. I do my best to have such a center. And NATO is helping. All that is left is to do our homework on our part, \u201dthe people’s deputy <\/a>said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vereshchuk said that corruption in Ukraine hinders NATO membership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
