Internet giant Amazon has become more active in combating the manipulation of sellers on its site with paid fictional reviews of goods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the past year, US Internet giant Amazon has detected and removed more than 200 million fake product reviews<\/a> from its online sales platform. This was announced by the company on Saturday, July 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The company has begun to fight more actively with sellers who use the Amazon marketplace and at the same time to increase their own profits pay for fictional reviews of their products. In Germany alone, since 2018, Amazon has filed 30 lawsuits against such entrepreneurs. As reported by the German newspaper Spiegel on July 23, Amazon won 17 of such cases in Germany<\/a>, suing unscrupulous sellers and sales agents for a total of about 150 thousand euros in compensation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amazon spends about $ 700 million annually on employees and software that fight fraud and manipulation on the online platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
