Ukraine Gate &#8211; August 01, 2021 \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukrgate.com\/eng\/?cat=6\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Diplomatic Affairs<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hamada El-Sawy, the Egyptian Attorney General, and his Libyan counterpart, Al-Siddiq Al-Sour, signed a memorandum of understanding on the subject after discussing bilateral cooperation on Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The two officials pledged to use their relations to combat organized crime, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukrgate.com\/eng\/?p=4360\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"4360\">corruption<\/a>, human trafficking, and cybercrime on the basis of existing treaties in force in the two countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al-Sawy welcomed the Libyan delegation headed by Al-Sour and praised the cooperation on the common interests between the two prosecutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Libyan Attorney General expressed his hope that the visit of his country&#8217;s delegation would help Egypt in restructuring the Public Prosecution Office in Libya, pointing to finding mechanisms for direct communication between the two sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A photo advisor thanked his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukrgate.com\/eng\/?p=17214\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"17214\">Egyptian<\/a> counterpart for inviting him to visit the country and experience artistic performances, which aroused great interest among Libyan officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Al-Sour said that Libya and Egypt are \u201cunited through history, geography, and deep-rooted ties,\u201d noting the Libyan Public Prosecution\u2019s keenness on \u201cserious and effective cooperation\u201d with its Egyptian counterpart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Libyan Public Prosecutor stressed the need to put in place \u201cnew mechanisms and patterns\u201d to ensure close cooperation between the two prosecutions, and to preserve evidence and confidentiality in investigations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Read Also: <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukrgate.com\/eng\/?p=15000\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"15000\">Libyan Prime Minister Welcomes the Opening of the Spanish Embassy in Tripoli<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Source<\/span>: <span style=\"color:#fae000\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Ukrgate<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Egypt and Libya pledged to improve cooperation in investigations into terrorism, embezzlement of public funds, oil smuggling, and the recovery of antiquities and cultural property.
