Vicar Nikolai Lauruk celebrated the first Liturgy in the church in Ruskov, Maramures district, on the feast of the glorious prophet Elijah. The liturgy was celebrated in both Romanian and Ukrainian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Kyiv. Ukraine. Nikolai Lauruk introduced the former vicar Fr. John Pitura and presented the latter with an icon of St. John of Russia, containing a fragment of the relics of the saint. The new vicar thanked his predecessor for 30 years of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ukrgate.com\/eng\/?p=15940\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"15940\">service <\/a>as vicar of the Ukrainian Orthodox Vicariate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Ukrainian Orthodox Vicariate is an administrative-territorial unit, canonically dependent on the Romanian Patriarchate, dedicated to Ukrainian Orthodox believers living in Romania.
