Zaporizhzhya Automobile Plant (ZAZ) will start producing buses under the Mercedes-Benz brand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ukraine Gate – August 15, 2021 \u2013 Transportation<\/span><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This edition of “First Zaporizhzhia” said Chairman of the Board of ZAZ Nikolay Evdokimenko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The new nine-meter ZAZ A09 middle-class bus with a capacity of 36 seats is currently undergoing resource tests<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “The bus is certified for the Ukrainian market and is currently undergoing road tests, approximately 50,000 km. During this time, we must complete production preparations and pass a Mercedes audit,” Yevdokymenko said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to him, the bus will not only be equipped with a motor, transmission, and other components of the famous German brand but can get the Mercedes logo <\/a>on the radiator grille.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “The procedure is underway, which we must confirm to the manufacturer compliance with its requirements. After that, the bus automatically enters the sales network of Mercedes – these are the countries of Europe, Asia to Kazakhstan,” – added the head of the plant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Resource tests and audits should be completed this year. In 2021, the Zaporizhzhia Automobile Plant should produce about 160 buses, some of which will be sent for export.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n
