In Ukraine, 2.5 million cases of coronavirus disease <\/a>COVID-19 have already been recorded, an increase over the day on October 7 – more than 16.3 thousand, a new anti-record this fall, such a figure has not been since April. More than 3.5 thousand people were hospitalized per day, which is at the level of the previous day. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“As of October 7, 2021, 16,362 new confirmed cases of coronavirus <\/a>COVID-19 have been recorded in Ukraine,” the Ministry of Health said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also for the past day:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 526 people were hospitalized;
fatalities – 241;
4,720 people recovered.
tested: by PCR – 53,211 people, by ELISA – 10,100 people, by rapid tests – 43,558 people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

fell ill – 2,514,005 people;
recovered – 2,282,482 people;
fatalities – 58,081;
PCR tests were performed – 13,164,600.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And sick for the past day: children – 1,553, health workers – 431.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Odesa (1418), Dnipropetrovsk (1345), Lviv (1237), Kharkiv (1025), and Donetsk (949) oblasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with the coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 19th in distribution and 19th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quarantine to counter the spread of a new type of coronavirus in Ukraine was introduced on March 12, 2020. Then it was repeatedly continued and transferred to the form of adaptive quarantine in the summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
