Ukraine Gate \u2013 October 12, 2021 \u2013 Forums and Conferences<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Red Sea International Film Festival launched film screenings and masterclasses as part of a community program to educate Saudi film lovers about acting, directing, and producing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The program was launched in four neighborhoods of Jeddah, with six shows <\/a>per day of films including \u201cKitab Al Shams\u201d, \u201cBaghdad Messi\u201d and \u201cBekaa\u201d chosen to attract younger viewers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And the program is not only limited to watching movies. Six directors and three actors from across the kingdom will provide masterclasses for filming a scene in front of a live audience – some of whom will be chosen to participate, as extras or as part of a crew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Edward Weintraub, artistic director of the festival, said the goal is to make the film industry accessible to people of all ages, specifically targeting Saudi youth to inspire the next generation of filmmakers who would otherwise not have considered a career in the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
