It is known that the doll “Princess Elizabeth” was created by German manufacturers Schoenau & Hoffmeister. The toy was supposed to depict Queen Elizabeth when she was a child, and the image was taken from her previous photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, this doll was not approved by the royal family. In particular, the Queen Mother, Lady Elizabeth Bose-Lyon, did not like the doll because it was “too chubby”. In the end, it was never released into mass circulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The doll is sold with the original label as part of a collection of about 500 toys. The owner of the dolls Betty Fox from Nottinghamshire died in 2019 at the age of 95.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
