Our alliance includes three public organizations – “Impulse of Kherson”, “Environmental News” and “Global View” and the charity “Center for Social Programs”. We have come together to hold such an event for Kherson residents on the concept of “Zero Waste” – “Zero Waste” – says head of the NGO “Environmental News” Olga Mashkova.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also presented their own location at the eco-festival of plasters, which spoke about the observance of the principles of ecological travel, and the NGO “Generating Platform” Dobrobut “presented a project for processing organic waste with the help of the California red worm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“This is our startup. We have a test platform that has been running for two years. It houses worms that process food waste, which is delivered to us by environmental activists. The point is that organic waste does not end up in landfills. We produce fertilizers and clean landfills, \u201dexplains project participant Volodymyr Prokhorov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He explains that the platform is a modular system, such a module can be placed in places of food waste. When waste is converted into organic fertilizers, they are sold through social networks. Kherson fertilizers are used in organic farming, horticulture, landscaping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Project manager Oksana Prokhorova said that it is possible to use not only the California red worm, but also to breed the earthworm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the festival there was a separate location, where the masters presented details and things made of metal, which received a second life. Serhiy Demchenko, a designer from Bilozerka, presented a figure of a metal mosquito. This is just a reduced 1:10 layout. A similar large-scale figure (12 meters high) together with his colleague Roman Lomov are planned to be installed within another project for nature protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
