JSC Ukrzaliznytsia temporarily restricted transit traffic through the territory of Ukraine due to active infrastructure modernization works. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In connection with the active modernization of the infrastructure of JSC” Ukrzaliznytsia “is forced to impose temporary restrictions on the transportation of transit cargo through the territory of Ukraine,” – said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is reported that, in particular, the work on electrification of the section Kovel – Izov – State Border and repair and track works on the modernization of the section Znamyanka – Zdolbuniv are underway. As a result, capacity in Poland has dropped to 350 cars per day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThese volumes are not enough to provide transportation on time. Therefore, it was decided to temporarily introduce a convention banning transit rail transportation through the territory of Ukraine. Upon completion of infrastructure works, transportation will be resumed and customers will be informed, \u201dthe statement reads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is noted that passenger rail transportation between the countries will be carried out without changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are accidents on the railway almost every month.
