“December 14, 2021 will be the peak of the Geminid meteor shower, the radiance of which is located near the star Castor in the constellation Gemini. It is best to observe this phenomenon at about 3:00, when the moon is already setting, \u201dsaid Ivan Kryachko, Acting Head of the Laboratory of Methodological and Information Support of Education and Science of the Astronomical Main Astronomical Observatory of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Geminids are a radiant meteor shower in the constellation Gemini. The visibility period lasts from December 4 to December 17, the date of maximum activity is December 13. The hourly number of meteors reaches 58, the speed is 34.4 km \/ s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
