The National Immunization Advisory Committee of Canada (NACI) strongly recommends that all Canadians over the age of 50 receive a third dose of coronavirus vaccine six months after their second vaccination. This is stated in the recommendations of the committee .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“NACI strongly recommends that certain populations be offered a booster dose of the authorized mRNA covid vaccine at least 6 months after the end of the primary vaccination cycle,” the published guidelines said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Doctors strongly recommend that the following be included in the priority groups: people over 50; residents of long-term care institutions; those who have been vaccinated only with vector vaccines (AstraZeneca or Janssen); indigenous peoples’ reservations; health professionals who are in direct contact with patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They also believe that a third vaccination with an authorized mRNA covid vaccine may be offered to all adults aged 18-49 years 6 months after completion of the initial course of vaccination, taking into account local and individual risks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier in Toronto, 117 police officers were sent on unpaid leave for refusing to be vaccinated against coronavirus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
