It is noted that several times a day Ukrainian polar explorers watch as penguins “march” in organized ranks to the ocean to eat their wings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Predators lurk in the water for penguins: more sea leopards, less killer whales. If you rush for food in a group, the risk for each bird is less than if they feed alone. biologist of the National Antarctic Research Center Artem Julai<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that penguins often push each other to jump into the water first, because the “daredevil” is most at risk of becoming a victim. So sometimes they can stomp on the shore for up to half an hour while the bravest dives into the ocean. Then others are rushing after him en masse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Interestingly, in the water, penguins often try to save their friend, who fell into the mouth of a leopard. To do this, they begin to “turn” the circles near the predator so that he unclenched his jaw, trying to capture another prey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
