“This pandemic is far from over, and with the incredible increase in Omicron cases worldwide, new options are likely to emerge, so monitoring and evaluation remain critical,” the WHO said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The head of the WHO warned against considering the high-transmission Omicron an easy option, causing new outbreaks around the world after it was first discovered in southern Africa in November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Against the backdrop of outbreaks, governments are imposing new restrictions and accelerating the launch of booster vaccinations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Europe is at the epicenter of new outbreaks: the number of new cases in Germany has exceeded 100,000, and France reported nearly half a million cases on Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
