“As of January 22, 15,444 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 coronavirus disease have been recorded in Ukraine,” the statement said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2,774 people were hospitalized;
fatalities – 86;
2,030 people recovered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
fell ill – 3,857,455 people;
recovered – 3,582,908 people;
fatalities – 99,215;
PCR tests were performed – 17,497,199.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Lviv (2170), Ivano-Frankivsk (1704), oblasts, Sumy (1469), Kharkiv (1193) and Khmelnytsky (958) oblasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 17th in distribution and 16th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quarantine to counter the spread of a new type of coronavirus in Ukraine was introduced on March 12, 2020. Then it was repeatedly continued and in the summer transferred to the form of adaptive quarantine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Within adaptive quarantine, regions are marked with colors – green, yellow, orange or red – the level of danger of COVID-19 spread, depending on the epidemic situation. Due to the “color” of the region, restrictive measures also differ. Yes, the green level has minimal restrictions. Yellow level – by default operated throughout the country since the introduction of adaptive quarantine. Orange level – set after yellow and indicates a complication of the epidemic situation. Red level – imposes tighter restrictions, as was the case during the January “lockdown”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On September 13, the government imposed new quarantine rules. They came into force in a week – on September 20. The main feature of the new rules is that vaccinated people with a COVID certificate are asked not to apply certain restrictions, including the “red” zone. There are two types of certificates – “yellow” and “green”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On September 20, the government extended the quarantine until the new year. Ukraine has been in the “yellow” quarantine zone since September 23. Subsequently, 18 oblasts and Kyiv joined the \u201cred\u201d zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On December 6, new quarantine rules came into force, which provide for tightening restrictions in the “yellow” zones. Thus, attending public events, cinemas, theaters, catering establishments and gyms will be allowed only if 100% of teams and visitors have at least one dose of vaccination, a negative test or a certificate of recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
From December 30, all oblasts will be in the “yellow” zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On January 20, the Ministry of Health noted a new outbreak and has already submitted a proposal to the State Emergency Commission to introduce a \u201cred\u201d zone in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
