Financial assistance for Ukraine and business plans: results of Kuleba’s visit to Denmark

Kuleba thanked Frederiksen for Denmark’s proactive stance in countering Russia’s aggressive intentions, including attempts to destabilize Ukraine, as well as for maintaining the Danish embassy in Kyiv.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The interlocutors agreed that preventing further escalation of Russian aggression against Ukraine and Europe depends on consolidated international pressure on Russia, combined with the maximum increase in Ukraine’s defense capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The main results of Dmitry Kuleba’s one-day visit to Copenhagen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Denmark stands side by side with Ukraine at both the government and society levels. Together with other partners, we are actively working to implement a comprehensive package of deterrence for Russia to demotivate it from aggressive plans and bring peace to Ukraine.
Denmark has allocated 22 million euros to strengthen Ukraine’s security sector. Copenhagen is allocating another 73 million euros to projects in the fields of green energy and sustainable development.
In addition, the Danish government is exploring additional opportunities to support Ukraine’s financial and economic stability. This is especially important given Russia’s efforts to shake up the internal situation in our country.
Danish business is ready to increase investment in Ukraine’s economy. One recent example is that designer furniture maker Hjort Knudsen plans to build a state-of-the-art designer furniture factory near Rivne for more than 12 million euros. This project will create almost 1,000 new jobs.
Ukraine and Denmark are discussing the construction of multi-purpose ships in Ukraine for the needs of Ukrainian border guards and rescue services.
The Danish government has no plans to evacuate family members and staff of the Danish Embassy in Kyiv, which is operating normally.
