There are already 4.73 million cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine, 13,562 per day
In Ukraine, 4.73 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have been recorded, an increase over the day, February 20, – 13.5 thousand, a decrease compared to the day before, however, traditional for the weekend. At the same time, more than 14,000 people recovered per day than the sick. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“As of February 20, 13,562 new confirmed cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 were recorded in Ukraine,” the statement reads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Also for the past day:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1,886 people were hospitalized;
fatalities – 127;
13,904 people recovered.
During the whole pandemic in Ukraine:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
fell ill – 4,734,333 people;
recovered – 3,952,363 people;
fatalities – 104,645;
PCR tests were performed – 19,390,438.

Of the patients for the past day: children – 1,254, health workers – 151.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Over the past 24hrs, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (2297), Dnipropetrovsk (1353), Mykolaiv (1099), Odesa (1011) and Kharkiv (911) oblasts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Worldometer, a resource that monitors the situation with coronavirus in the world, Ukraine ranks 18th in distribution and 16th in the number of deaths from COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Quarantine to counter the spread of a new type of coronavirus in Ukraine was introduced on March 12, 2020. Then it was repeatedly continued and in the summer transferred to the form of adaptive quarantine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Within adaptive quarantine, regions are marked with colors – green, yellow, orange or red – the level of danger of COVID-19 spread, depending on the epidemic situation. Due to the “color” of the region, restrictive measures also differ. Yes, the green level has minimal restrictions. Yellow level – by default operated throughout the country since the introduction of adaptive quarantine. Orange level – set after yellow and indicates a complication of the epidemic situation. Red level – imposes tighter restrictions, as was the case during the January “lockdown”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On December 6, new quarantine rules came into force, which provide for tightening restrictions in the “yellow” zones. Thus, attending public events, cinemas, theaters, catering establishments and gyms is allowed only if 100% of teams and visitors have at least one dose of vaccination, a negative test or a certificate of recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On December 15, quarantine in Ukraine was extended until April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Since December 30, all oblasts have been in the “yellow” zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On January 20, the Ministry of Health noted a new outbreak with an epicenter in western Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On January 24, the Ivano-Frankivsk region moved to the “red” zone. Rivne region joined it on January 27. On February 11, Zakarpattia, Luhansk and Khmelnytsky regions also moved to the “red” zone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On February 14, the Ministry of Health pointed out that after a four-week rapid increase in the number of new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine, the first signs of stabilization are beginning to appear, the weekly number of detected cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine is declining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
