{"id":3153,"date":"2020-12-02T18:18:27","date_gmt":"2020-12-02T18:18:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ukrgate.com\/eng\/?p=3153"},"modified":"2021-04-01T12:12:59","modified_gmt":"2021-04-01T12:12:59","slug":"the-rules-for-driving-in-wheelchairs-in-ukraine-have-been-approved","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ukrgate.com\/eng\/?p=3153","title":{"rendered":"The Rules for Driving in Wheelchairs in Ukraine Have Been Approved"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Cabinet of Ministers has regulated the rules of the road (SDA) for persons who move in wheelchairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The corresponding resolution was adopted at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday, Ukrainian News Agency reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to it, people in wheelchairs have the right to move on sidewalks, pedestrian or bicycle roads at the speed of a pedestrian, as well as move along the edge of the carriageway, street or shoulder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, they have the right to preferential crossing of the carriageway along the marked pedestrian crossings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also, people in wheelchairs have the right to move in the direction of movement of vehicles on the right extreme lane of the road, turning to the left and making a U-turn are allowed on roads with one lane and without a tramway in the middle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also, people in wheelchairs are obliged to use technically sound and properly equipped wheelchairs, not to carry passengers and goods that interfere with driving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, they are required to equip wheelchairs with reflective devices, and at night &#8211; with external light devices.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Cabinet of Ministers has regulated the rules of the road (SDA) for persons who move in wheelchairs.
