Ukraine climbed four positions to take 25th place in the National Cybersecurity Index. This was reported by the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection.
It is noted that during the development of the new list, the cybersecurity state of 160 countries was analyzed. The analysis was carried out in the following areas:
\u2022 cybersecurity legislation;
\u2022 analysis of cyber incidents;
\u2022 cybersecurity education;
\u2022 securing digital and essential services;
\u2022 electronic identification and trust services;
\u2022 protection of personal information;
\u2022 activities to respond to cyber attacks and cyber incidents;
\u2022 fight against cybercrime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is argued that the improvement of Ukraine’s position in the National Cybersecurity Index became possible due to the adoption over the past year of a number of legislative acts in the field of cybersecurity and cyber defense.
Greece, Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Spain, Belgium, Finland, Slovakia, Croatia and France are in the top ten of the National Cybersecurity Index in 2020. In the last positions are Burundi, Tuvalu and South Sudan. Next to Ukraine, Poland and Austria ranked 24th and 26th respectively.
