Turkish Foreign Minister Mevl\u00fct \u00c7avu\u015fo\u011flu described his meeting with his American counterpart Anthony Blinken in New York as very useful, and that Minister Blinken assured him that the United States would convey the necessary messages to allay Turkey’s concerns about Sweden and Finland joining NATO.
Cavusoglu said that it is unacceptable for countries that want to join the alliance to support terrorist organizations targeting Turkey, and Cavusoglu added that it is also unacceptable that they impose restrictions on the sale of arms to a member state of the alliance, referring to Turkey.
