Ukraine Gate- Kyiv \u2013 May 20, 2022 \u2013 First Deputy Governor of the National Bank Katerina Rozhkova said during the Spring Business Forum in Lviv that Ukraine has received $5.6 billion from international partners since the start of the massive Russian invasion since the beginning of the war.
She noted that due to the closure, there was a significant decrease in revenues from the state budget. According to Rozhkova, the budget deficit for March and April is 171 billion UAH. One of the ways to finance the deficit is the funds of international partners.
“We have received 5.6 billion dollars since the beginning of the war, and all this money went to the budget,” Rozhkova said.
In addition, the NBU has already purchased US$120 billion in military bonds, and stressed that the NBU cannot be a permanent source of financing for the state’s budget deficit.
The heads of the G7 financial agencies, as well as representatives from the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development, have reportedly announced the mobilization of $19.8 billion in economic aid to Ukraine to overcome the budget deficit and support the country’s economy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
