Prior to his arrival, a representative of the German government said that Germany could help in exploring the gas field in Senegal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Berlin has invited both Senegal, which currently holds the presidency of the African Union, and South Africa to attend the G7 summit in Germany in June.
