President Volodymyr Zelensky signed the Law of Ukraine \u201cOn Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning the Protection of the Rights of Orphans, Children Deprived of Parental Care and Disability\u201d \u2116 1020-IX.<\/p>\n
The document is aimed at improving the social protection of orphans and children deprived of parental care living in foster families and family-type orphanages.<\/p>\n
“According to the law, orphans and children deprived of parental care who have a disability may, at their option, continue to live in a foster family, a family-type orphanage until they reach the age of 23, regardless of whether they are studying in institutions of general secondary, professional (vocational), professional higher and higher education.
