Every fifth Ukrainian works informally<\/p>\n
The number of the informally employed population aged 15-70 in January-September 2020 was 3,275.5 thousand people. This is 20.5% of the total number of employed Ukrainians of this age (16,000,700).<\/p>\n
This is reported by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.<\/p>\n
According to the statistics department, 3,316.4 thousand people worked informally among the population aged 15 and over.<\/p>\n
The highest percentage of informally employed in agriculture is 45.2%, in construction – 16.8% and in trade – 15.7%. In industry, the share of informal employment is 5.5%.<\/p>\n
According to the State Statistics Service, the number of informally employed population aged 15-70 years in 2019 in Ukraine was 3460.4 thousand people.<\/p>\n
The number of employed people aged 15-70 was 15.9 million people. The number of unemployed people is 1.7 million people.<\/p>\n
According to the survey data of the Razumkov Center, more than half of hired workers in Ukraine (59.8%) agree to work officially, but receive part of their salary “in an envelope”.<\/p>\n
