UkraineGate . 1st of September . 2022 | Society.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Latvian National Council for Electronic Mass Media excluded 20 Russian TV channels from the list of rebroadcasts in the country.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Details<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In particular, the following are excluded from the list: RT (Russia Today), RT HD, RT Arabic, RT Documentary, RT Documentary HD, RT TV, RT Spanish, &#8220;MIR 24&#8221;, &#8220;RBK-TV&#8221;, &#8220;Russia 24&#8221;, &#8220;Russia RTR&#8221;, TV Center International, &#8220;Time: far and near&#8221;, &#8220;Beaver&#8221;, &#8220;Dom Kino&#8221;, &#8220;Dom Kino Premium&#8221;, &#8220;Muzyka Pervogo&#8221;, &#8220;O!&#8221;, &#8220;Poekhaly&#8221;, &#8220;Telekafe&#8221; and &#8220;Petersburg &#8211; Channel 5&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We would like to add that the broadcasting of these TV channels in Latvia was stopped earlier &#8211; for various legal reasons.&nbsp;For example, due to the fact that one of the beneficiaries of the work of TV channels, Yuriy Kovalchuk, was included in the list of sanctions of the European Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other channels were turned off due to inciting hatred against the background of Russia&#8217;s military aggression against Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The council&#8217;s decision comes into force on September 1, it can be appealed in the administrative district court, but this does not stop the decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Source:\u00a0Ukrgate<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>KYIV.
