UkraineGate . 5 . \u00a0September . 2022 | Ukraine News.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ukraine and the European Union signed five important agreements that bring our country closer to joining the European Union and contribute to the stability of our state in the war against the Russian aggressor.\u00a0This was\u00a0announced by\u00a0\u00a0Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal in his Telegram .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Details<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Firstly<\/strong>&nbsp;, according to him, it is about the Agreement on the participation of Ukraine in the EU program &#8220;Digital Europe&#8221; (2021-2027).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is part of the EU digital visa-free regime.&nbsp;The &#8220;Digital Europe&#8221; program has a budget of 7.5 billion euros for the development of projects in five areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>supercomputer<\/li><li>Artificial Intelligence<\/li><li>cyber security<\/li><li>digital skills<\/li><li>ensuring the widespread use of digital technologies in the economy and society;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The second<\/strong>&nbsp;agreement is on Ukraine&#8217;s participation in the EU program for cooperation in the customs sphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From October 1, customs visa-free with the EU will start.&nbsp;Shmyhal emphasized that after signing today&#8217;s agreement, Ukraine will join the customs cooperation program with a budget of almost 1 billion euros.&nbsp;This will allow us to improve the qualifications of our customs officers, to participate in the development and use of European electronic systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>The third<\/strong>&nbsp;agreement provides for the provision of budget support to Ukraine in the amount of 500 million euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The funds are earmarked and will be used to provide housing for internally displaced persons, as well as to support small farmers so that they can continue and develop their business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Also, Ukraine signed&nbsp;<strong>the fourth<\/strong>&nbsp;agreement &#8211; on Ukraine&#8217;s participation in the Fiscalis EU tax cooperation program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From now on, the State Tax Service of Ukraine will be able to exchange information with colleagues from the EU.&nbsp;There is an opportunity to use modern European IT systems in the field of taxation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In addition, the parties signed the&nbsp;<strong>fifth<\/strong>&nbsp;agreement, thanks to which the European Commission increases the budget for grants for Ukraine by 122 million euros.
