In Belarus, everything is ready for the transition to biometric documents, and more than 800,000 Belarusians will receive an ID card in 2021.<\/p>\n
People who receive an ID-card will automatically purchase an electronic digital signature with a 10-year shelf life and a personal electronic account. From the moment of creation, the cabinet will have the status inactive until the person does NOT activate it from the ID-card. There will be all the information with the history of this cabinet.<\/p>\n
The Ministry of Internal Affairs explained that the current paper passports will operate in parallel with ID-cards and paper documents are not subject to mandatory replacement.<\/p>\n
Another document that Belarusians will be able to receive this year is a biometric passport. Everything in the country is ready for the transition to it.<\/p>\n
The document will be needed to travel abroad. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, 300 to 500 new foreign passports will be issued per year.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
