\u00a0<\/strong>Odesa City Council filed\u00a0an appeal\u00a0against the decision of the Economic Court of Odesa Oblast regarding who still owns the architectural monument Russov’s house – the city or the private company “Petreks Plus”, which is registered to the mother of ex-deputy Ruslan Tarpan.\u00a0The meeting will take place on October 11<\/strong>\u00a0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Details<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Back in 2004, Russov’s house began to gradually become the property of companies affiliated with Tarpan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This happened\u00a0due to the purchase of “communal rooms”, 80% of which ended up in the same hands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, once again, a company affiliated with Tarpan (“Ukrspetsproekt”) received a tender for the restoration of the historical monument,\u00a0but\u00a0\u00a0the work of the “restorers” ended with the destruction of the building itself, its facades and criminal\u00a0cases\u00a0due to the embezzlement of budget funds (damages to the city budget reached UAH 5 million). .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite this, the “Petrex Plus” company has been suing the Odesa City Council for the Russov building for the second year. The firm demanded that the Odesa City Council cancel the ownership of the architectural monument and declare the decision of the Executive Committee of July 3, 2020, which registered Russov’s house under the territorial community, illegal. The court proceedings lasted for one and a half years and in the end the court made a decision not in favor of the Odessans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is why the Odesa City Council filed an appeal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Vladyslav Belinskyi, head of the NGO “Green Leaf”, Tarpan, when he was a deputy of the Odesa City Council,\u00a0removed\u00a0architectural monuments from protection and later appropriated them for himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This is a person (Tarpan – ed.) who has been involved in various schemes for a long time.\u00a0He was mainly engaged in luxury real estate, and his specialization was architectural monuments.\u00a0He managed to get them out of custody through the Kyiv ministries, somehow negotiated with them.\u00a0Tarpan received contracts for restoration works, because they are quite valuable.\u00a0Quite a lot of such architectural monuments fell into his private ownership, ”\u00a0Belinsky\u00a0noted .<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Ukraine, a preventive measure has already been\u00a0chosen\u00a0for him \u00a0in the form of detention in absentia, and law enforcement officers are preparing for his extradition from the Arab Emirates.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
