In 2019, Microsoft<\/a> announced the Windows 10X platform as a modular<\/a> and lightweight version of Windows 10. The company later said that the OS will also support<\/a> Win32 applications, but later said that the first versions<\/a> of the system will be deprived<\/a> of this feature due to difficulties in its implementation.<\/p>\n

Now a new build of Windows 10X has leaked to the Web. It has shown that the new operating<\/a> system can still be run with development<\/a> tools for Win32 applications. According to the WindowsPhoneInfo<\/a> report, the latest build of Windows 10X has a new setting that allows users to download “unsigned applications”, including Win32 programs><\/p>\n

This feature does not work now. The description of the parameter<\/a> states: \u201cEnabling this setting will allow you to run unsigned applications and use advanced development features. Allowing all apps to run on your device<\/a> may harm your device or data. \u201d Keep in mind that simply<\/a> enabling this option will not allow users to install and run regular desktop applications (.exe) in Windows 10X, which are expected to be released<\/a> later this year. However, this means that Microsoft<\/a> plans to add support for Win32 applications sometime in the future.<\/p>\n
