Zelensky’s impeachment initiative was called a provocation.<\/p>\n

Presidential spokeswoman Julia Mendel said the opposition was seeking to provoke a crisis in the country. In addition, according to Mendel, the initiators of the impeachment allegedly want to protect the assets of the deputy.<\/p>\n

Zelensky’s impeachment procedure was launched by the parliamentary party “Opposition Platform – For Life”.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The reason was sanctions against the channels and MP Taras Kozak. These actions of the President<\/a> of Ukraine were called unconstitutional, as the restrictions violate the right to freedom of thought and speech.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The UN reminded Kyiv of the signs of a healthy democracy. There must be votes in the country for and against the government.<\/p>\n

Ukrainian channels appealed to the PACE, the EU, and the OSCE, as well as to human rights organizations. The companies reported pressure on the media.<\/p>\n
