The Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov announced<\/a> through his daily message that in Ukraine, 1.249 million cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have already been recorded, a daily increase of 2.6 thousand on February 8, an increase over the previous day. At the same time, more people recovered than fell ill in a day, for the second day in a row – this trend persisted for almost four weeks, except for the data for February 6.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

“2656 new cases of coronavirus COVID-19 have been registered in Ukraine as of February 9, 2021,” Stepanov said.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Over the past 24hrs, the coronavirus in Ukraine<\/a> was detected in 2,656 people, 127 deaths were recorded, 8,865 patients recovered, and 865 people were hospitalized.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Among the new patients are 157 children and 229 nurses.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Almost three times more people recovered than fell ill in one day. From February 5, the number of new cases does not exceed 5,000 per day.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Yesterday, 30,901 tests for coronavirus were performed (including PCR – 17,658, ELISA – 13,243). Instead, 6,419,781 PCR tests have been performed in Ukraine since the beginning of the pandemic.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Ivano-Frankivsk (525), Zakarpattia (276), Kyiv (243), Chernivtsi (194), and Zaporizhia (164) oblasts.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

During the whole pandemic in Ukraine<\/strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

fell ill – 1,249,646 people;<\/p>\n

recovered – 1,084,608 people;<\/p>\n

fatalities – 23,771;<\/p>\n

PCR tests were performed – 6,419,781.<\/p>\n
