Lawyers believe that the death of missing fraudster Melissa Kadick may facilitate the recovery of money for investors who have been defrauded<\/p>\n

Ukraine Gate – February 27, 2021 \u2013 Entrepreneurs<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n The decomposing remains of Mrs. Kadick were found on the southern coast of New South Wales at the end of last week, three months after she disappeared after a police raid on her home.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Courts agreed to request an arrest warrant by the company\u2019s regulator against Kadick on Monday, indicating that he still hopes to find her alive.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n For its part, accused the Australian Securities and Investments Commission Ms. Kadick, an unauthorized financial<\/a> advisor based in Sydney, of deceiving investors of more than 25 million dollars.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A spokesman for the ASIC said on Friday that the regulator will continue to pursue its case in an effort to recover money for investors.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Investigations confirmed the trail of forged documents<\/a>, which raised doubts at the time about the possibility of recovering any money.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n But the complainants’ attorneys who spoke about the case on Friday said that “might make things easier” because there would now be enforcers who could handle Ms. Kadick’s property and speak on her behalf.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “While she was missing, that was a problem,” one lawyer said.<\/p>\n “If she dies, there is no doubt that her inheritors will take over her property – and they will stand in her place.”<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Where they will have to decide whether to resist orders to take its assets and pay them to investors.<\/p>\n The lawyer said the court will feel more comfortable in the process.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n It is worth noting that the case returned to federal<\/a> court on April 7, when interim liquidators Bruce Gleason and Daniel Soar of Johns Partners were expected to be appointed as permanent liquidators.<\/p>\n It is then possible to contact the property to see if they can reach an agreement on the assets. They will also deal with legal representatives of the investors.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “They will try to get to their property and start realizing the assets in the fastest way possible,” said one insolvency lawyer.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Meanwhile, New South Wales Police investigators will report to the state criminal investigative judge.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The security forces found the foot of Mrs. Kadick, who was still inside a shoe, on a remote beach southeast of the city of Bega at the end of last week.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Assistant Commissioner Mick Welling said the shoes were identical to those worn by Mrs. Kadick in a video of a police raid on her Sydney home on November 11th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The next morning, her son heard the front door of their home closed early in the morning, and Ms. Kadik has since gone missing<\/a>.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Her husband, Anthony Coletti, officially reported her missing on November 13.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Mr. Welling said DNA from Ms. Kadick’s toothbrush and her family<\/a> helped identify the part of the body that was found.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The circumstances of Melissa’s disappearance were distressing for many people, including her alleged victims, her family, and friends.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Investigators are not aware of the circumstances surrounding Ms. Kadick’s death, but Mr. Welling said nothing has been ruled out, with the possibility of suicide by suicide.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
