The number of women in the Armed Forces of Ukraine has almost doubled in seven years.<\/p>\n

In particular, in 2013, 16,557 women served in the military, and already in 2020, their number was 31,757. Of these, in 2013, 1,633 people were officers, and in 2020 this figure increased to 4,810.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

According to the data, Ukrainian women soldiers have been involved in international<\/a> peace and security operations for seven years. If in 2013 there were only two of them (officers), then already in 2020 there were six (five of them are officers).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In addition, during 2014-2020, more than 13.5 thousand women received the status of a participant in hostilities (UBD) for participating in the ATO \/ JF. In particular, in 2014 it was provided to 101 ATO participants, and in 2020 – to 19 ATO participants and 1,643 JFO participants. Another 925 female officers are now in command positions.<\/p>\n

The total number of women in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is currently 56,726.<\/p>\n
