In Germany<\/a>, quarantine restrictions have been relaxed.<\/p>\n

As of today, book and flower shops, garden shops, beauty salons, driving schools, and pilot schools have reopened in the country.<\/p>\n

\n

The rest of the shops, except for food and pharmacies, as well as hotels, restaurants, and other establishments<\/a> will remain closed.<\/p>\n

\n

In addition, meetings of up to five people from two households, not counting children under 14, are allowed.<\/p>\n

\n

However, every citizen will have the opportunity once a week to take a free rapid test for coronavirus. Further measures to lift the restrictions will depend on the implementation of the concept of regular population testing.<\/p>\n

\n

The daily increase in coronavirus infections in Germany is just over 5,000 cases, according to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). A total of 2,505.1 thousand cases of infection have been detected in Germany since the beginning of the epidemic. In the last 24 hours, 34 people have died from COVID-19<\/a>, the total number of deaths in the country of 83 million is 71 thousand 934. More than 2.3 million people have recovered.<\/p>\n

In the last 7 days, per 100 thousand population, 68 cases of infection were registered – more than the day before (66.1). On December 22, 2020, this indicator reached the highest value – 197.6.<\/p>\n

According to the Worldometer coronavirus monitoring resource, almost 117.5 million cases of COVID-19 have been reported worldwide since the beginning of the pandemic. More than 2.6 million people died.<\/p>\n
