The Minister of Health of Ukraine Maxim Stepanov<\/a> announced that in Ukraine, 1.519 million cases of coronavirus disease COVID-19 have already been recorded, the daily increase for March 17 – 15.8 thousand, the largest since the beginning of the year. At the same time, the number of hospitalized per day, as the day before, was 4.4 thousand.<\/p>\n

In Ukraine, the highest number of cases of coronavirus since the beginning of 2021 was confirmed – 15,850. 830 children and 401 health workers became ill.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, 4,444 people were hospitalized with the coronavirus, 262 died. Another 4,592 Ukrainians overcame the disease. During the day, 53.3 thousand PCR tests were performed, 21.2 thousand – ELISA, and 40.6 thousand – antigen tests<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1.5 million Ukrainians have contracted the coronavirus and 1.2 million have recovered. 29515 fatalities were recorded.<\/p>\n

“Over the last 24 hours, the largest number of confirmed cases was registered in Kyiv (1210), Lviv (1140), Kyiv (1134), Kharkiv (1085), and Vinnytsia (948) oblasts,” Stepanov said.<\/p>\n

Kyiv region – 1,134 cases;<\/p>\n

Kirovohrad region – 158 cases;<\/p>\n

Luhansk region – 147 cases;<\/p>\n

Lviv region – 1,140 cases;<\/p>\n

Mykolaiv region – 419 cases;<\/p>\n

Odessa region – 935 cases;<\/p>\n

Poltava region – 543 cases;<\/p>\n

Rivne region – 443 cases;<\/p>\n

Sumy region – 489 cases;<\/p>\n

Ternopil region – 628 cases;<\/p>\n

Kharkiv region – 1,085 cases;<\/p>\n

Kherson region – 141 cases;<\/p>\n

Khmelnytsky region – 855 cases;<\/p>\n

Cherkasy region – 536 cases;<\/p>\n

Chernivtsi region – 584 cases;<\/p>\n

Chernihiv region – 347 cases.<\/p>\n

Data from the temporarily occupied territories of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk oblasts, and the city of Sevastopol are missing.<\/p>\n

Today there are 241,629 active patients in Ukraine<\/a>, their number has increased by 10,996 over the last 24 hours, according to the National Security and Defense Council map.<\/p>\n
