For those who prefer video – about it in our video blog.

How will it work?

After the new system works and becomes mandatory (about when this will happen – a little later in the text), a tourist from Ukraine going to the EU will be required to pass an online authorization every three years – conditionally saying, to confirm their right to use a visa.

This will be done online, without the need to contact the consulate, visa center, or any other intermediary. It is enough to fill in the questionnaire on a specially created site, which will open soon (the European Commission has reserved the address http://etias.eu/ for it, but it can still change). Interestingly, the EU officially allows authorization on behalf of others – for example, children can help older parents, or the employer can take care of employees who are sent on business trips.

Read also: Interactive Guide “School in a Pandemic for Leaders and Teachers of Schools and Vocational Schools!

Source: Ukrgate

The European Union has taken a step towards introducing new visa-free rules.
