The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmygal, announced that he had ordered the immediate creation of a special group for a detailed investigation of all the circumstances of the helicopter crash in Brovary, where the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was killed .
“Tragedy in Brovary. As a result of the helicopter crash, at least 18 people died. Among them are the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denys Monastyrskyi, his deputy Yevgeny Yenin, State Secretary of the Ministry Yurii Lubkovich. A great loss for the government team and the entire state. My sincere condolences to the families of all the victims, Shmyhal wrote in Telegram. – I instructed to immediately create a special group for a detailed investigation of all the circumstances of the tragedy.”
The police reported that a helicopter crashed near a kindergarten in Brovary, Kyiv region.
The deputy head of the President’s Office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, confirmed that in Brovary, “an aircraft crashed into a social infrastructure facility.”
Oleksiy Kuleba, the head of Kyiv OVA , noted that children and employees of the institution were in the kindergarten. Everyone was evacuated.
The head of the National Police Ihor Klymenko reported that in Brovary the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs died due to the fall of a helicopter: Minister Denys Monastyrskyi, First Deputy Minister Yevgeny Yenin and State Secretary Yuriy Lubkovich.
