A new statue of Christ is being built in Brazil. It will be above the famous statue in Rio de Janeiro.

The statue in Encantado will be 43 meters high, making it the third tallest statue of Jesus in the world.
Last week, workers completed the installation of the head and arms.
The construction was initiated by local politician Adroaldo Consatti, who died in March of a coronavirus.
The $ 350,000 project is scheduled to be completed this year. It is being built by the Association of Friends of Christ. The required amount was raised through donations.
